‘Building exposure’ — Osprey Initiative offering curbside recycling

A small company in an unassuming office building on Halls Mill Road has big plans its founder hopes inspires others to make recycling easier for Mobilians.

Osprey Initiative and owner Don Bates have begun offering curbside recycling for a fee to those interested in what is now a biweekly service.

“Everybody loves it,” Bates said of the service. “The coolest thing about our business, whether it’s our litter work, or recycling is that it’s so positive.”

What We Offer

//

The patented Litter Gitter is a tactical in-stream litter collection device used to intercept floating litter from stormwater runoff. The Osprey team handles all aspects of installing and maintaining these “trash traps” and compiles data on the items caught in them, recycling as much of the litter as possible.
