Litter Gitter Installation on University of South Carolina Campus Will Intercept Floating Litter

Osprey Initiative partnered with Sustain S.C. and Coca-Cola Consolidated to install a Litter Gitter on the campus of the University of South Carolina. The Litter Gitter, a tactical in-stream litter collection device, was unveiled on March 16 and installed by Osprey Initiative.

The Litter Gitter device is highly effective and has been deployed in communities across the country, including in North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia.

By installing the Litter Gitter on the University of South Carolina’s campus, Sustain S.C. and Coca-Cola Consolidated are taking a proactive step to prevent litter from entering nearby waterways. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the two organizations to promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The Osprey team has become a leader in sustainable waste management solutions. We work with businesses and communities to reduce waste and promote recycling.
