Deric Martin joined Osprey Initiative in April 2019. He leads project coordination for the Mobile-Gulf Coast Mobile crew and helps each office regionally. His daily work includes device maintenance, tactical cleanups, and hands-on fieldwork—from walking creek banks to paddling litter boats. Deric also focuses on researching and designing innovative products for sustainable and special projects, such as making concrete from recycled glass.
A native of Mobile, Alabama, Deric holds an AAS in Civil Engineering and Design and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Engineering at the University of South Alabama. He values being part of Osprey’s larger impact through collaboration with project partners. Outside of work, Deric enjoys practicing Mixed Martial Arts and Jiu Jitsu.
